I did much research like many others have. I kept hearing Samsung was better than Sony. I finally decided on the Samsung4671. After I ordered samsung4671 I kept worrying about the few posts that indicated problems, would I get one of those. I must tell you I received the TV 2 days before scheduled delivery and was very pleased as I live in a small town and was concerned that may have been a problem. Not a problem. I am on cable and was sheduled to get HD and DVR 10 days from the delivery date. Long 10 days. I plugged in the TV using the analog channels and was pleasantly surprised at the picture quality. I thought from everything I read I would be disappointed . No way, and I could not wait to get the digital and HD channels. When I did get the full hook up (digital & HD) I was in awe. The digital channels were what I expected the HD channels to be and the HD channels blew me away. I do have a DVD upconversion 1080 player and it also performs well. I have been a Sony, Panasonic buyer for years. There is no way they could be better than this TV. This is definitely a 5 star TV.
